The practice is led by Doctor Rasika Perera and Practice Manager – Manjari Ghimire and Practice Nurse -Tahnee Harvey.
With a firm focus on being family-oriented, Tuart Family Practice offers a wide range of medical services for women, men and children. The experienced team is able to provide a number of services including dermatological care, chronic disease management; as well as catch up vaccinations, contraceptive care and contraceptive insertions.
Tuart Family Practice aims to be a mini super clinic, with a wide range of Allied Health professionals available to help the Baldivis community.
Our Doctors are also fluent in Italian, Malay, Sinhalese, Nepali, Hindi and Indonesian.

Dr Rasika Perera is the owner of Tuart Family Practice. She has strong family values and is determined to bring these values into her practice. Dr Perera offers a range of medical services for all ages. She graduated in Sri Lanka 2003, and moved to Australia in 2011 with her husband and twin boys.
She has a strong interest in chronic disease management, geriatric medicine and children’s health.

Dr. De Silva brings over 20 years of knowledge and expertise as a Medical Practitioner to Tuart Family Practice.
Dr. De Silva is interested in children’s, men’s and women’s health, mental health, chronic disease management and much more.

Dr Sonia Ferrero graduated from Università degli studi di Torino in Italy in 2001. Dr Ferrero has vast experience in the medical field from her extensive placement in the hospital system in Italy with Geriatric medicine, general medicine, skin ulcers, mental health, women’s health including sexual health, family planning, obstetrics, gynecology and pediatric.
Dr Ferrero is mainly interested in geriatric medicine, general medicine, chronic illness, skin ulcers and women’s health.
She loves travelling, reading, playing sport and watching movies. And she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two lovely daughters.

Dr Ram graduated from the Kathmandu University, Nepal and has also completed a Masters of Science & Population Health at the university of Wollongong, NSW.
He has over 5 years experience working in various specialities at St John of God Subiaco, Swan District hospital, St John of God Murdoch Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and St John of God Midland Hospital.
Dr. Ram has a special interest in chronic disease management, acute medicine and comprehensive care.
FRACGP, MBBS, AMC
Dr Minats enjoys all aspects of General Practice with key focus on travel medicine, communicable disease and sexual health. He is interested in dermatology procedures and regular skin checks. He is open to welcome new patients and can confidently manage most chronic medical conditions. Special Interests: Skin Cancer, Chronic Disease Management, Men’s Health, Sexual Health, Travel Health, Workers Compensation & Women’s Health. Dr Manickam is fluent in Tamil.

Dr Zahraa Al-Tameemi has been a medical practitioner since 2009 after graduation from Iraq, University of Baghdad. Then moved to Australia to pursue her medical career. She worked in numerous hospitals across Tasmania and Western Australia covering different aspects of medicine, with a particular interest in women’s health.
Dr Al-Tameemi has finished her DRANZCOG through King Edward Memorial Hospital.
When not at work, you will find Zahraa enjoying family time, cooking, down the beach, and spending time with friends.

Dr Thaw is a general medicine specialist trained in Western Australia and overseas.
Dr Thaw focuses on patient-centred care and provides a comprehensive assessment and management of all aspects of acute and chronic complex medical issues.
His areas of interest include acute medicine, perioperative medicine and managing medical patients with chronic and complex issues.
Dr Thaw is fluent in Malay & Mandarin.
RM RN Endorsed Midwife
Meg has a vast wealth of knowledge as both a Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator and Registered Midwife working in NSW, the UK, Northern Territory and Western Australia. She has a passion for women’s health and believes in continuity of care for a woman and her family, from early pregnancy through into the postnatal period. Meg works with women both to provide a safe healthy pregnancy, as well as listening to, and providing education specific to their needs.
RM RN Endorsed Midwife
Jess is a registered midwife and registered nurse with a strong passion for caring for women and their families through pregnancy and into the postnatal period. She has extensive knowledge surrounding antenatal care, labour/birth and postnatal care with both low risk and high risk women. She believes strongly in continuity of care for women and their families as care from the same midwife can have many benefits to mother and baby. Jess hopes to educate and empower women so they feel ready to face the challenges of motherhood.

Tahnee brings a wealth of knowledge to our treatment room, with her many years of clinical experience. Always friendly, efficient and enthusiastic, Tahnee will be involved in your holistic care, chronic disease management and will quickly triage you if you are unwell and need prompt attention. Tahnee is fantastic with children and will make your childs trip to the doctor as enjoyable as possible. Also currently completing her Masters in Nursing, you can be assured you’re in safe hands.

Penny takes a humanistic holistic approach to therapy focussing on the unfolding, here-and-now client-therapist relationship, developing a bond that nurtures and encourages clients to: enhance their authenticity, experience competence, encourage flexibility and compassion in self-care, and create personal, realistic appraisals of their environment (home and work) and relationships (families, partner, friends and colleagues).

Dr Vikki tailors her chiropractic treatments to meet her clients individual needs. Services include spinal adjustments, cupping, dry needling, sports taping, childrens development and corrective exercises.
Chiropractic care can play a significant role in promoting a balanced nervous system, reducing pain, and enhancing overall physical well-being.
Diana Yee is an experienced child Speech Pathologist based in Perth. Diana operates from Tuart Family Practice once a week to assist our local community.
With many years experience in the medical industry, Manjari knows how to keep the Tuart Family Practice running smoothly and efficiently. With her cheerful and positive attitude, even when under pressure, Manjari brings harmony within the whole practice.
